Graduation ceremony 2012
“Commencement Day” at Novancia Business School Paris: a new class of graduates takes off.
On 26th January 2012, the students from the Advancia and Negocia programmes received their degrees during a graduation ceremony held at the Chatelet Theatre, attended by 2,000 guests, including families, teachers, staff and businesses.
The 895 graduates were congratulated by Philippe Houzé, Chairman of the Board of Governors of Novancia, Anne Stéfanini, Executive Director of Novancia, Grégoire Lassalle, President and CEO of AlloCiné and sponsor to the class of 2011, who, each in turn, encouraged the students to be committed and optimistic in their future careers.
Anne Stéfanini explained to the assembly that a degree is a key that opens the door to a professional career, with its official accreditation by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, by the Conférence des Grandes Ecoles and by the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Philippe Houzé called on the future agents of change and renewal in businesses to aim high, but also to keep their feet firmly on the ground in order to seize the opportunities and new perspectives that arise. In this quest for success, commented Grégoire Lassalle, the important thing is “to know your rough edges and refine them. But liking people is also so important if you want to succeed in life”.
The Bachelor students at Novancia, who are still studying, organised two flash mobs in honour of their elders. The ceremony ended with the Novancia Clip Clap show, specially created for the occasion, with Liza Michaël performing songs from famous musicals.
During the evening guests engaged in lively discussion in the theatre foyer, where a cocktail reception was provided.
We wish the 2011 graduates every success in their careers, but remember, as Grégoire Lassalle remarked, “success nearly always comes when you least expect it”.
